Highlights From Our Annual General Meeting 2023


As we bid farewell to an eventful year, we are thrilled to share the highlights of our Annual General Meeting (AGM), the grand finale of an extraordinary chapter. The AGM was the perfect stage to reflect on the year's accomplishments and engage with our vibrant community. The AGM also witnessed the announcement of the new board.


The new board consists of five (5) members in the persons of;Ama Serwah Nerquaye-Tetteh, the Secretary-General of the Ghana Commission for UNESCO, Nana Asaase a Ghanaian Poet, Writer, Creative Writing Trainer, and Storyteller, Dr. George Tesilimi Banji the head of the University Library for Ho Technical University. In addition to the board, two community members were appointed by our community as Community Board members. They are in the persons of Mr. Jonathan Oberko and Mr. Jesse Akrofi-Asiedu


At this year's AGM, we proudly announced recipients of several prestigious awards:



Star Performer of the Year: Recognizing outstanding individual contributions, this award was clinched by Thomas Baah.


                                            


Outstanding Hub of the Year: Celebrating collaborative efforts, this accolade highlighted a hub's exceptional performance throughout the year. This Award was given to the Kumasi Wiki Hub.

                                         


Outstanding Hub Leader of the Year: Applauding leadership, this award honored an exceptional hub leader in the name of Emmanuel Frimpong who is the hub leader of the Kumasi Wiki Hub.

                                      


Top Wiki Contributor: A new category this year, emphasizing contributors' crucial role, Emmanuel K. Gyan emerged victorious.



                                    


The essence of the AGM was not just about handing awards to exceptional hub leads and contributors in Ghana; we also highlighted and celebrated the winners of global competitions held throughout the year. Their dedication and passion shown through in their submissions.



Due to geographical constraints, the award winners could not attend the annual general meeting (AGM) to present their awards. Consequently, the honors were graciously accepted on their behalf by close associates and friends
